Volunteers can call the Dawn Ellis Volunteer Coordinator, at (616) 866-3478 ext. 341, or email dawn.ellis@nkconnect.org, to set up a time for an interview. You may complete the Volunteer Application form by downloading and emailing to Dawn, or she will complete it with you during the interview.
Due to COVID-19, we are limiting the number of volunteers in the building. Generally, volunteers are needed throughout the day, depending on which job they are assigned to. Our hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Yes. We can accommodate groups of up to 5 people.
Volunteers must be 18 or older, and a background check will be completed.
No. Anything that will be needed to complete your volunteer task will be provided unless otherwise noted. We encourage you not to bring any personal belongings.
Individual volunteers will meet with the Volunteer Coordinator before scheduled shifts to receive orientation/training.
We ask that you dress comfortably and respectfully. Layers are recommended as the temperature can fluctuate. If you will be working in the warehouse, please wear closed-toe shoes. Volunteers who are interacting with clients are asked to dress business casual (no jeans).
