Volunteers are needed throughout the day depending on which job they are assigned to. Our hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 6:00pm.
We welcome volunteers of all ages; however, volunteers who are younger than 18 are required to have a parent or guardian present at all times.
No. Anything that will be needed to complete your volunteer task will be provided unless otherwise noted. We encourage you not to bring any personal belongings.
Volunteers will receive a brief orientation about NKC and will receive instructions for the project they are working on at the time. You will not be asked to volunteer alone until you feel you are ready.
We ask that you dress comfortably and respectfully. Layers are recommended as the temperature can fluctuate. If you will be working in the warehouse, please wear closed-toe shoes. Volunteers who are interacting with clients are asked to dress business casual (no jeans).
