North Kent Connect Community Food Program starting in June

Open to NKC Clients, this 18-week garden program, in partnership with Plainsong Farm, is designed to grow new gardeners, develop a new network of gardening partners, and support community health by providing fresh, seasonal produce for neighbors experiencing economic hardship.

This program requires an 18-week commitment to earn VIP credit (to be used at the North Kent Connect Farm Stand to purchase Plainsong produce). NKC will plant a 10’ x 7’ garden on site, and clients will have the opportunity to earn credit by volunteering in the garden.

Mike Edwardson, from Plainsong Farm, will provide weekly gardening videos (available at nkconnect.org) to share garden updates on the items being grown.

For more information, or to register, contact North Kent Connect at (616) 866-3478, or email catherine.landers@nkconnect.org.
