YOU have been a bright spot for us every day in 2020. Your gifts have helped many families with food, utilities, and rental assistance. Thank you!
As we enter 2021, we know there will be challenges. Families will still need heat, housing, and food as COVID-19 runs its course. Having partners like you walking alongside us, and the families we serve, gives us hope. We are grateful for your continued support, and we pray for your health and happiness in the new year.
Please read on for the many reasons we are joyful. And thank you for being such a big part of that!
DID YOU KNOW? The 2020 Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (C.A.R.E.S.) includes several provisions available only during the 2020 tax year. One of those allows for up to $300 in donations to be deducted from income and applies to anyone taking the standard deduction. A qualifying donation by cash, check, credit, or debit card lowers both adjusted gross income and taxable income, which means a tax savings for individuals making donations to tax-exempt organizations like North Kent Connect.
