Classes and Education
Three Educational Programs
Thrive Empowerment Program
In this six month program, women with children in northern Kent County are learning about topics including...
- How to create and stick to a budget.
- Setting personal goals to strive for during the program and beyond.
- Hearing how to work with agencies in the community to find a job, advance your education or start your own business.
This is a six month program that provides financial literacy, helps address energy efficiency in the participants’ home, and helps individuals in poverty build their resources for a more prosperous life for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Farm to Pantry Program
In partnership with Access of West Michigan, the Farm to Pantry program connects Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares from Plainsong Farms to families within the service area. The families meet biweekly to receive the produce, cook and learn together, and share recipes.
