Stella Clove volunteered with us for decades. She was quick to engage people with a warm, friendly smile. Stella’s daughter, her third oldest child, talks about memories of her mom’s involvement with this organization.

“My mom volunteered since the very beginning of the Rockford Community Service Center. I remember going there when I was a child. We would sort and fold clothes and organize the storage area. My mom never judges people and confidentiality is so important to her. She enjoyed being at the receptionist’s desk and making people feel special and loved. She always talked about the tax preparation service offered and how important it was. My mom is a doer and likes to encourage people to work and make things happen for themselves. NKC has always had a special place in my mom’s heart.”
